King Power expands “THE POWER OF POSSIBILITIES” to Chiang Rai by distributing an international quality faux grass football pitch to fulfill Thai children’s dreams

Opportunities and dedication can make what seems impossible possible. The dreams of Thai children who want to become professional footballers take another step closer to reality as another blue faux grass football pitch of an international standard has been distributed through the One Hundred Football Pitches for the Power of Thai Youth, marking the 88th pitch under the initiative. The most recent pitch is located in the Golden Triangle at Ban Saew Witthayakhom School, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province, brought to life through King Power Thai Power under King Power Group. The football pitch will serve as a new landmark for football lovers to connect, practice, and improve their skills to reach an international level, in line with King Power’s “THE POWER OF POSSIBILITIES” brand concept. The official handover ceremony of the faux grass football pitch took place on March 15, 2023 at Ban Saew Witthayakhom School, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province.
The ceremony was honored by Aphiwat Kansriwieng, Deputy Provincial Education Officer, Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha, Assistant Chief Operating Officer, King Power, Chiang Saen District Chief Khathasit Nueangla, Chiang Rai Secondary Education Service Area Office Director Annop Juchan, and Ban Saew Witthayakhom School Director Pramote Thisri. There was also a friendly football match, led by Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai and Kao Khon La Kao members, as well as football icon Teeratep “Leesaw” Winothai, to ignite passion for sports for Thai youngsters.
Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha, Assistant Chief Operating Officer, King Power, said, “King Power believes that Thai children have great sport skills, and if they believe in their dreams and give it their all, anything is possible. Therefore, we have continued to help make their dreams come true on an international level by offering football pitches under the 100 Football Pitches for the Power of Thai Youth initiative in various parts of the country. This year, we have expanded our reach to Chiang Rai. Children in the area and neighboring communities can utilize this international standard football pitch to enhance their skills like a professional, and it can also serve as a public space for football matches among schools, provinces, and regions in the future.”
Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai said, “The Football pitches have brought happiness to people in many communities, and every time Kao Khon La Kao team had a chance to join the handover ceremonies, we could see how happy the locals were, as they would have a place where they could play sports and improve football skills for local youths. I believe that these football pitches will unleash the potential of many talented football stars.”
The 100 Football Pitches for The Power of Thai Youth initiative began in 2017, and so far 88 football pitches have been completed in 73 provinces, while the remaining 12 are expected to be completed within 2024. For more details, visit King Power Thai Power Facebook page.
